Dr Jimmy Chong

MBChb, mph, fracp, fafrm

Dr Jimmy is a Paediatrician and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Specialist based in Auckland. This is where he grew up and completed his medical qualification.

After completing physician training in Paediatrics, Jimmy moved to Sydney to complete a fellowship in Rehabilitation Medicine. Since returning home, he has worked as a Consultant at Starship Children’s Health and with the National Child Rehabilitation Service (Wilson Centre) providing services to young people and their families from across New Zealand who have experienced neurological injuries.

Jimmy has a dedicated interest in research, having been awarded both first class Bachelor Honours and Master of Public Health degrees from the University of Auckland. This has extended to positions as an author and editorial board member for the Cochrane Collaboration, along with reviewing for several academic journals. His current roles include examining for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, as well as committee positions within the Aotearoa branch of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine and Australasian Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine.

Importantly, Jimmy is a proud husband and dad, while keeps up with interests outside of work playing touch rugby and squash.

 

Corinne Watson

DPT, Physiotherapy board of NZ certified

Corinne is an American trained physiotherapist who graduated with a Clinical Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Ithaca College. Corinne has worked in prominent paediatric hospitals in the United States of America, United Kingdom and New Zealand. Over her 15 years of clinical experience, Corinne has specialised in supporting children of varied conditions including neurodevelopmental and neurological disorders, rehabilitation from brain injury, spinal cord injury, and orthopaedic surgery.

Corinne has expertise in gait analysis, lower limb orthotics, and serial casting for the management of paediatric equinus deformities.

Corinne is a passionate practitioner who practices with a client centred approach. Corinne is a dedicated wife and mother to a young son. She understands the importance of a child’s wellness and ability to play.
